Sugarloaf is the second largest ski mountain East of the Mississippi in terms of skiable area, second to Killington mountain. Illustrated by hand. PROCESS
We start with compiling a library of pictures with varying angles of the subject of the poster. We sketch from the photos, editing and simplifying elements into pure geometric forms and shapes. The drawing is then scanned and used as the backdrop for our computer drawing. Editing, adding shapes and simplifying elements is at the core of the process. A moodboard is created to provide the color scheme. Working with flat geometric shapes to compose an interesting foreground and background and overall composition with an appealing color scheme is our ultimate goal.
